TRIOXIDIL® is FOLIGAIN®'s proprietary cosmetic complex, used in selected shampoos, conditioners and topical products to support the look and feel of thinning hair and a comfortable scalp.
TRIOXIDIL® products are cosmetic formulas designed to help hair look thicker and fuller and to support a healthy-feeling scalp. They work alongside—not instead of—OTC Minoxidil routines.

What the TRIOXIDIL® study found
A 120-day cosmetic study by Princeton Consumer Research Corp (2019) evaluated the FOLIGAIN® TRIOXIDIL® regimen — Shampoo, Conditioner and Topical Treatment — in 60 adults (30 men, 30 women, ages 18–75) with visible thinning, reduced density or brittle hair.

Is TRIOXIDIL® a drug?
No. It is a proprietary cosmetic complex and is not approved to treat hair loss.
Is TRIOXIDIL® the same as Minoxidil?
No. The names are similar, but Minoxidil is an OTC drug ingredient and TRIOXIDIL® is a cosmetic complex.
Can I use TRIOXIDIL® with Minoxidil?
Yes. FOLIGAIN® sells kits that combine them. Follow the directions on each product.
Who makes TRIOXIDIL®?
TRIOXIDIL® is a FOLIGAIN® trademark and is only found in FOLIGAIN® products.
Will TRIOXIDIL® regrow my hair?
No. As a cosmetic ingredient, TRIOXIDIL® is not marketed or evidenced as a regrowth treatment. It's designed to support the look and feel of hair and scalp.
How is the percentage of TRIOXIDIL® decided?
FOLIGAIN® formulates different concentrations for different product types — lower for rinse-off shampoo and conditioner, higher for leave-on formulas. It isn't comparable to Minoxidil percentages.
Is 10% TRIOXIDIL® stronger than 5% Minoxidil?
They cannot be compared. They are different substances with different purposes and regulation.
Will TRIOXIDIL® cause Minoxidil shedding?
The early shedding phase is associated with Minoxidil. TRIOXIDIL® is a cosmetic complex and is not known for that effect.
