How to read this comparison
This is a comparison of Kirkland Signature and Rogaine®. FOLIGAIN® publishes this resource but is not part of this comparison; both names are trademarks of their owners.
OTC Minoxidil products at the same strength contain the same active ingredient under the same FDA rules. Real differences are usually format, inactive ingredients (such as propylene glycol or alcohol level), pack size, price per month, buying channel and whether a subscription or telehealth visit is involved.
Prices and ranges change often. Where a row says 'Not offered / not verified', we have not confirmed the product on a current label.
About Kirkland Signature
Kirkland Signature is Costco's own label. Its hair-regrowth products are men's Minoxidil 5% — a topical solution and a topical aerosol foam — sold in multi-month value packs to Costco members.
The Drug Facts label is the standard men's 5% Minoxidil label: for the top of the scalp (vertex), twice daily, not intended for frontal baldness or a receding hairline, and not for use by women.
- Multi-month value packs (6 bottles or 6 foam canisters)
- Sold to Costco members in warehouses and on costco.com
- Men's 5% only — no women's-labeled Kirkland Minoxidil in current listings
About Rogaine®
Rogaine® is the original US topical Minoxidil brand, first approved in 1988 and sold over the counter since 1996. It is one of the most recognized hair-regrowth brands in the country.
Its 5% foam helped popularize propylene-glycol-free Minoxidil, and its women's 5% foam introduced a once-daily regimen for women.
- The original approved topical Minoxidil brand
- Once-daily women's 5% foam
- Very wide national retail distribution
How to choose
Pick the label that matches your sex and needs, then the format you'll use consistently. Compare cost per month rather than per bottle, and ask a pharmacist if you have health conditions.
