Why several methods matter
One measurement can be misleading on its own. Combining expert scoring, a physical count, photography and participants' own impressions gives a rounder picture of what changed.
The four methods
Each result was checked with one or more of these methods.

What “statistically significant” means here
It means the improvements were large and consistent enough across the group that they're unlikely to be down to chance. It doesn't promise the same result for every individual.
